    Freakin’ exciting!

I ran 15 miles this morning. I’m still in shock that actually happened.

One thing I’ll say to 15, it is very easily divisible to those of us who get run-brain and can’t do simple math while sweating. I took a Gu around mile 5 and at 10 I met fasterstronger to run over the Queensboro Bridge and back. (It sucked about as much as advertised. Hey, how do you know a bridge sucks? You feel like throwing in the towel on the way DOWN. The EASY part.) At least the view was nice.

I would like to request that the NYC Parks Department not turn on the sprinkler system before the bathrooms are unlocked for the day. It is torturous and may entrap an otherwise law abiding citizen into committing a public violation… so I hear.

Major PRO to doing your long run on the first day of the 3-day weekend: So much glorious sloth awaits! All the eating and drinking! Probably some yoga tomorrow!

Major CON: Cranky, hungry and misanthropic is not a super way to start a holiday. Remind me not to make plans with flaky people (NOT YOU! you’re terrific) on long run days.
