I lost 70 pounds and I almost ran the New York Marathon in 2012. So, what's next?

I will always remember my first marathon. I had a 5 hour one. Cramps in both my calves on the 59th Street Bridge made the last 10 miles an adventure. It is as clear as a bell in my memory. This is not about politics, but personally, I think if you are a runner, you remember your first marathon especially if you cracked that magical sub 3 time. If the recollection was off about 10 or even 20 minutes….alright. But 1 hour?
On the bright side, if I don’t want to tell people my marathon time in November, I can just make a Paul Ryan joke instead of saying “I was happy to finish, and it’s none of your business.”
Rep. Paul Ryan’s time was none of our business either (I didn’t even know he ran), until he made it our business by bringing it up. But his brother who ran Boston will probably see to it that he never forgets again.
